Richards Exhibit Building

The Richards Building was the first building erected on the Fairgrounds in 1976. It was renovated in 2018-2019. The Richards Building houses several exhibits.

Art in Sussex County

Featuring local artists of all ages in several categories

Photography in Sussex County

Featuring both color and black and white with a special student division

Awards are made in these two shows as well as offering artwork and photos for sale.

Creative Arts for Home and Hobby

Composed of baking, canning, and handicrafts divisions. Competitions are held throughout the week for chili, smoked/dried meats, cheesecake, cookies, and other food items. All competitions are open to New Jersey residents. People’s Choice Quilt Award is given. Quilt squares for Quilts of Valor are available for fairgoers to write messages. 

Sussex County Beekeepers Honey Show and Exhibit

Honey items are available for sale. Information on beekeeping is available. A cross-section of a hive with a queen bee is on display. Weather permitting, demonstrations in a cage of bees are given daily.

Sussex County Grange Exhibit

The National Grange takes up the causes of farmers. Sussex County Granges highlight their work in this exhibit.

The Fair History Exhibit

Preserves the history of the Fair and the Fairgrounds. Each year it presents an overview of some areas of the Fair.

Sussex County Building

Includes information about the municipalities and services in Sussex County and tourism information.

Tech Zone

County robotics teams demonstrate their robotics projects daily.
